Google introduces its “Nearby Share” file sharing feature to Chrome OS
Google introduces its “Nearby Share” file sharing feature to Chrome OS. Its working mechanism is similar to “AirDrop”. While this new feature is available only on Chrome OS it may be coming to PC, Mac and Linux too.
Just turn on the “Nearby Share” feature in Chrome OS configuration window by enabling few configuration flags. First enable the “Nearby Share” flag and then the “Share sheet” flag. That’s it! Now look the “Connected devices” section in settings page. Choose the file and the nearby recipient. Recipient must accept the shared file before starting stream.
